Current Research and Other Projects

Citation Analysis Research
This is really a very broad project with multiple foci. The goal is to produce a body of quantifiable research data from which some reliable assertions can be made concerning the manner in which primary search engines utilize citation analysis to evaluate hyper-documents.
This project started as a simple yet inspired test that was developed and initiated by Stoney DeGeyter. His project was focused on discovering how search engines are currently treating reciprocal citations. In 11/06 I took over his test and added a few more each of which similarly hope to identify how primary search engines are looking at different types of citation information.
Misc. Points of Interest
SIRE & VLG
Both SIRE and VLG are very much ongoing projects with an ever expanding scope. Some of the more recent areas of focus:
SIRE
- Patent Research and correlation work
- Simplified Sorting Algorithm Taxonomy
- Semantic Analysis (especially CIRCA )
- Normalization Techniques for VLG data sets.
SEOg2
I'm in the final editing stage of my book which presents my entire SEOg2 methodology. It is very extensive and very unique. Unfortunately it will not be available to the public just yet. I'm writing it for PPM.
Organic Ranking Difficulty
This is an interesting project that introduces some novel ways of looking at the relative difficulty associated with achieving various rankings for a specific targeted search phrase.
I will have more information about this one in the near future.
Usability & Other Important Design Issues
As always usability is at the top of my list for important web design/optimization considerations and I am devouring everything I can get my hands on that deals with good design and development practices.
