(S)earch (I)ndex (R)everse (E)ngineering:
A research endeavor designed to identify, understand and model the mechanics of the top U.S. Search engines.
The purpose of this project was to develop the first SEO methodologies that are based upon reliable scientific data. Significant findings of the ongoing S.I.R.E. Project form the foundation of my SEO methodology, which I have termed 2nd Generation SEO.
From this project I have developed a full scale Information Retrieval environment which allows simulation of important indexing and ranking functions used by modern search engines. I have also been able to produce a host of manual simulation techniques that allows one to explore various search engine techniques hands-on using special documents that have been developed. The functional IR component is complemented by an extensive knowledge base of project findings.
The S.I.R.E. project has found a permanent home at Pole Position Marketing, who were kind enough to take in the creator as well.
